VAG Diagnostics in Bradford.

Dealer-level Audi, VW, Seat and Skoda diagnostics — ODIS, VCDS and OE-equivalent tooling. Fault pinpointed, plain-English report, fixed quote. Same-day slots.

From £49

If the engine management light is on, the DSG is juddering, the digital cockpit is blank or your Audi feels sluggish in limp, a proper VAG diagnostic is the first step — not a generic OBD scan from a chain garage.

We use the same factory software as Audi, VW, Seat and Skoda main dealers — ODIS and VCDS, plus OE-equivalent tools for MQB, PQ and MLB platforms. That means every module on your car gets scanned, not just the engine ECU. Hidden modules, long coding, adaptations and basic settings: all accessible.

What’s included in a VAG diagnostic?

  • Full scan of every module — engine, gearbox, ABS, airbag, instruments, comfort, infotainment, radar, headlights, gateway.
  • Live data analysis — not just fault codes, but what sensors are reporting in real time.
  • Plain-English fault report — no jargon, just what’s wrong and what it’ll cost to fix.
  • Fixed quote before any repair starts. We never order parts without your say-so.
  • Diagnostic fee credited against any work booked on the same day.

Which VAG vehicles do we work on?

Everything in the VAG group:

  • Audi — A1, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, Q2, Q3, Q5, Q7, Q8, TT, R8, S and RS variants
  • Volkswagen — Polo, Golf, Passat, Arteon, T-Roc, Tiguan, Touareg, Transporter, Caddy, Amarok, up!
  • Seat — Ibiza, Leon, Ateca, Arona, Tarraco, Alhambra
  • Skoda — Fabia, Octavia, Superb, Kodiaq, Karoq, Scala, Kamiq
  • Cupra — Leon, Formentor, Ateca, Born
  • Bentley & Lamborghini — we can also handle these VAG-underpinned marques

Common VAG faults we see every week

  • EPC light + limp mode — often misdiagnosed as turbo failure when it’s actually an actuator or MAP sensor
  • Engine management light with no obvious symptom — usually a fuelling, emissions or EVAP issue
  • DSG juddering or hesitation — adaptation reset, mechatronic fault, or clutch pack
  • Digital cockpit blank or rebooting — software update or cluster fault
  • Intermittent electrical gremlins — CANbus, earth, or module communication issues
  • Parking sensor failures — individual sensor, wiring, or module
  • ACC / lane assist errors — radar or camera calibration

What makes our diagnostics different?

Three things:

1. Proper tools. ODIS (VAG’s factory software) and VCDS (Ross-Tech’s dealer-level platform). Most independents run generic multi-brand scanners that read surface-level engine faults only.

2. Ten years of VAG pattern-recognition. When the same model comes in with the same symptom we’ve already seen it fifty times. We know which fault code is the cause and which is the consequence.

3. We don’t upsell. Read our 114+ Google reviews — there are multiple cases of customers being not charged because the fix was a five-minute reset. We’d rather earn the repeat business.

FAQs

Questions about vag diagnostics in bradford

How much does a VAG diagnostic cost?

Our full dealer-level scan starts at £49. That fee is credited against any work booked on the day, so you're only ever paying for labour and parts you need.

How long does a VAG diagnostic take?

Most scans are complete within 60–90 minutes. Complex intermittent faults may require longer — we'll always agree a time and cost cap before proceeding.

Do I need an appointment?

Yes, please book a slot — either online, by calling 01274 317861, or WhatsApp 07770 211197. We're a specialist workshop, not a drop-in.

Can you do the diagnostic while I wait?

For most faults, yes — our waiting area is clean and there's coffee. For deep-dive intermittent issues we may ask to keep the car longer.

Do you work on Cupra?

Yes. Cupra sits on the same VAG architecture as Seat, so anything from a Cupra Leon to a Formentor or the electric Born is well within our remit.
